Massage - 'Manual Health Therapy'
How can massage help me?
Massage therapy helps to reduce stiffening joints, improves flexibility and mobility. Massage relaxes you and generates a feeling of wellbeing.
Injured muscles and ligaments develop scar tissue, massage helps to increase the blood flow and break down fibrous nodules in soft tissues, improving joint mobility and flexibility, relieving pain.
Massage is often used alongside other physical therapy such as chiropractic to enhance recovery, they complement one another when used together for both short and long term maintenance in achieving well being.
What does a Massage Therapist do?

What’s the difference between Sports massage & Swedish massage?
A sport massage is a stronger massage and more specific than Swedish massage. It is excellent for the sporty individual before, or after an event or an individual who likes to keep fit whom requires deeper pressure and stretching. It employs techniques such as trigger pointing and cross fraction which are specific methods to target problems that develop from developed or strained muscles. It enables a greater range of movement and helps to reduce muscle tension and tightness.
Swedish massage can be a more superficial massage, it’s primary aim is to aid relaxation and stimulate blood circulation, eliminating waste and rejuvenating the body. In general Swedish massage is gentle and less muscle/area specific working on the whole body including face, head, hands and feet; a delightful relaxing treat.
